I had an awsome experience on August 11, 2010, my son Michael and I got to meet and shake hands with Tony Dungy!!!!  Wow, amazing.  Mr. Dungy was at a book signing in Carrollwood, FL at Barnes and Noble.  I got Michael up early and drove approximately 45 miles to arrive by 10:00.  They were handing out wristbands at 12:00.  We were third and fourth in line to get the bands, then we were back there by 2:00 as Mr. Dungy was to arrive at 3:00.  We were number 11 and 12 in line to have our books signed.  I got several pictures of Mr. Dungy, also two with Michael.  However, I forgot to ask his permission and I don't want to post the pictures without his permission.  He is TRULY A HUMBLE, INSPIRING LEADER.  I asked Mr. Dungy if he could sign "The Mentor Leader" to 'Connie and Paula' and he did.  I also purchased another book for my husband, Paul, and Mr. Dungy was kind enough to personalize that book as well.  I just started reading one of his books and before I had three pages read, his words already made an impact on me. The book titled "THE MENTOR LEADER"; in the Foreword section, page IX,  the writer, Jim Caldwell, states he learned a profound lesson from Mr. Dungy, just hearing Mr. Dungy state "It is not about me" regarding a matter involving one of the team players.  Stop and think about those words and how many times per day we can apply them. In the Introduction, I could relate to his definition of "Mentor Leader".  For those of you who have the pleasure of knowing my sister, Paula Farley, you know 'WHO SHE IS, AND WHERE SHE GETS HER STRENGTH.'  Mr. Dungy described Paula to a T; I only wish he could get to know her.  By the time I was on page three of the first chapter, I was crying.  As Mr. Dungy points out some people's idea of success and how sad it is that this is their belief.  Mr. Dungy quotes from the Bible, Romans 12:2, again, wow, powerful, deep and true. I couldn't wait to sit and read this book.  God placed Mr. Dungy in a very important position and gave him a very large platform to teach.  I feel very blessed.  Connie Nonnenmacher

Take a quick look out your window.  Every flower or tree you see owes its life to rain.  Every bird singing, every frog hopping, every living thing draws its strength from storms.

 

For Christmas, Aunt Carol gave Connie a flip inspirational calendar called "Rain on Me, Daily Moments of Hope and Encouragement" by Holley Gerth. Thank you Aunt Carol, I love it. The above saying is on January 10th and it just made a big impact on me.  For more information go to Joyfully Yours, www.dayspring.com 

Life is a precious gift from GOD, and that although the end of a life should not be looked on with joy, there is a peace that comes with the end of a dangerous terrorist's life that was responsible for taking so manyprecious lifes.  It is not for revenge that we celebrate (for Vengeance is Mine saith the Lord), but the preservation of the lifes he may have been responsible for taking in the future.  Although we know that there are other terrorist, the death of Bin Laden will not only be the end of one master mind, but will also give a message to others that YOU CAN NOT HIDE.  We are very greatful for the brave armed forces that we have, who work so very hard for us.  It is with this in mind we would like to celebrate this momentous event by offering armed forces a 20% discount.  We would like to extend a discount to all others of 10% to recognize and honor our armed forces.  When ordering please note if you are with the armed forces.

Paul and Constance are trying to get more involved in golfing together.  Paul gave Constance golf shoes, a golfing glove, and customized golf balls for Valentine's Day (see the saying on the picture of the ball above).  The Word of God will be spread on the golf course, because of lost balls.  This is one of Paul's ways of spreading the Word.
